The Red Hat Society was inspired by this poem, written by British Professor & Author, Jenny Joseph.

"Warning"

When I am an old woman I shall wear purple
With a red hat which doesn't go and doesn't suit me.
And I shall spend my pension on brandy and summer gloves
And satin sandals, and say we've no money for butter.
I shall sit down on the pavement when I'm tired
And gobble up samples in shops and press alarm bells
And run my stick along the public railings
And make up for the sobriety of my youth.
I shall go out in my slippers in the rain
And pick the flowers in other people's gardens . . .
But maybe I ought to practice a little now?
So people who know me are not too shocked and surprised
When suddenly I am old, and start to wear purple.

Does the little girl inside of you want to come out and play?  Does she like to play "dress up" in  pretty hats and gloves?  Are you tired of staying home and just doing the every day thing?  Were you the only girl in the family?  Would you enjoy having a sister? Would you enjoy being around a bunch of postive, happy, laughing, giggling bunch of ladies?  Are you tired of belonging to groups that are all work and no fun?  Do you like to bring smiles to faces of others?

If you can answer yes to any of these questions, you need to join us in the fun that we have.  To join us, just click on the membership application button above, fill it in and submit it, and soon you too will be out having a lot of fun and laughter!

We are truely an organization of disorganization, we do not have a lot of "rooles" or by-laws to follow.  We are a "sisterhood" of ladies who are just out to have fun, laughter and enjoy life!
